We use a combination of anaesthetic gel, spray AND local anaesthesia to achieve complete numbenss. In certain situations where the tooth does not achieve full anaesthetic effect (hot tooth)- we use a combination of 3 different types of local anaesthetic agents to make sure of the numbness before proceeding. At this point it is impossible to feel any pain and hence you can have an almost pleasant experience with your microscope root canal treatment. Win- Win!
